I had to share a few more images from Klein Creek Golf Course. Brides always ask where a reception would be held at the course since their is not really any seating inside. The answer, a large tent complete with chandeliers is placed behind the club house.

Sarah and Jeff had their wedding at Klein Creek Golf Course in Winfield. Somehow I missed putting these up on the blog. Klein Creek has quite a few photography locations right around the club house. Luckily only a few of them are in the line of fire when golfers are on the course.

Normally it would be almost impossible to shoot ten groomsmen in the middle of the street in Chicago. If you are looking for the perfect spot for pictures with the groomsmen turn to LaSalle Street. As you get closer to Jackson and the Chicago Board of Trade, you hardly have to worry about cars.

We all know the Vatican is in Rome, but every time I photograph a wedding at Holy Name in Chicago I’m reminded of the first time I stepped into the Vatican. I remember walking into the Vatican on Christmas Eve in complete awe. I’ve performed in front of crowds of thousands of people, traveled the world and seen some amazing things, but there is just something about the magnificence of the sanctuary that has always stayed with me. While not quite the same scale, Holy Name is Chicago’s version of the Vatican. I hope these two images give you a glimpse of why Holy Name stands out so much to me.

A lot of brides come to me almost apologetic for having a winter wedding date. As we all know, Chicago winters can be unpredictable at best. It could be 40 or -40 in the same weekend. Chicago hotels have plenty of normally unseen spots for wedding photography. All of these pictures were taken in the Chicago Embassy Suites. I find by mixing up the angles it’s easy to have all of your indoor wedding photography locations look completely different. These shots required me laying on the ground flat on my back, hanging over a 5th floor balcony, and riding up and down on an escalator. So, winter brides, there is no reason to worry about your wedding photography. Let your photographer find the great spots!

When it comes to country clubs in the suburbs The Hinsdale Golf Club is a favorite of mine. It has been a while, but I’m hoping to return in 2010. These images are from Karen and Charlie’s wedding in 2008. I was filing away some old images today and stumbled upon these. Now you can see why I’m dying to go back. What a great location for wedding pictures and a reception.

Magnificent arches, beautiful domed ceilings, and a great view of Millennium Park can all be found at the Chicago Cultural Center. I shared Kate and Ted’s wedding when it was featured on Chicago Style Unveiled, but I had to share a few more of my favorite pictures.

The Conrad Chicago is definitely a luxury hotel and makes an ideal space for wedding prep and photography. The rooms are spacious and some have a balcony with an outstanding view. Sidney stepped out on his balcony for a few shots. What a great view!

The Conrad is full of natural light in the main lobby. These were of course on different days, but rather than doing the exact same shots I used spaces in the same lobby to better fit each bride.

Amy and Dean’s wedding on July 3rd was my first trip to the Chicago History Museum. There are so many great photography options here you never have to leave. The front entrance has some great vertical lines and the backdoor has massive concrete pillars and steps. If that’s too much concrete you can always turn to the park right out the backdoor. If you are not familiar with it, you can find it at 1601 N Clark.
