I went on a tour of Chicago with Jean, Michael and their bridal party. We went everywhere from Wrigley Field to the Adler Planetarium for their wedding pictures. However I think the highlight of the day was the Westin at Yorktown Center in Lombard. It is one of my favorite suburb hotels for pictures of the bride and groom. How can you go wrong with giant walls with water flowing down them. Truth be told, Jean would stand out against any background. She is absolutely stunning! It’s not often that I get to post a wedding full of family members to show off to everyone. I was beyond excited when Chicago Style Unveiled decided to feature Dan and Nikki’s wedding in their Real Weddings section. My wife, the boys, nephews and all the in laws are scattered throughout the selection. Ty definitely got a kick out of seeing his picture on the internet. For those of you that are wondering, yes this wedding was in Milwaukee. It is however not that far from Chicago and we all live here. That said Milwaukee is a great town and an unbelievable place to shoot a wedding. The Grain Exchange and Intercontinental were only a start to all the great locations.
There is always some debate on including kids in weddings. I’m definitely for it. Yes, getting them dressed can be stressful. In fact, one of the images of Ty (my son) below included me getting him dressed carrying him to the church crying then continuing to shoot my brother-in-laws wedding. I think it was worth it!
