Through the years I’ve found it a bit cumbersome, sending multiple emails to various links and passwords to be tedious. I needed a way to better present galleries, albums, and movies from the wedding day. So, here’s my latest creation. Wedding sites that hold all that info in one contemporary website!
Candice and Sidney had both their ceremony and reception at the Ivy Room in Chicago. It truly has ivy running up all the courtyard walls. What a cool place for cocktail hour!
Although I almost fell out of the Rolls Royce that took us around town, it was of course a great addition to their images. I worked with two of my favorite people at the wedding, Chrissy from Big City Bride and the always an adventure, Jason Groh, from Lexoria Wedding Films.
One more highlight that I can’t forget, a bar of freshly made waffle bowls overflowing with Coldstone Ice Cream. Have I mentioned my love for all things sweet?
I always look forward to outdoor weddings. Sara and Jon were married at the Hilton Chicago Indian Lakes Resort. They were up for a ride in the golf carts and we found a few fun spots to shoot. I can’t remember if I actually raked the sand trap after I stood in it. None the less is was worth the images we walked away with!
I met Kyle and Lanna about 2 years ago when they brought Jocelyn in for her 6 month portrait session. They are a great couple and they LOVE pictures. I got to photograph Jocelyn every 3 months until 15 months. It really has been fun to watch her personality develop. Look at her now at 2. We only shot for about 20 minutes, and she definitely gave me a workout. She’s pretty quick for having such short legs!
This was my first shoot at the Chicago Illuminating Company. Chrissy at Big City Bride did a great job with the layout of the room. The transition from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing was flawless. The window light in the front room was perfect for capturing the bouquets and place cards. The dining area was more dimly lit, but accented with a ton of color…Perfect for dinner.
We had a great 4th of July. It was actually the first 4th I haven’t had a wedding in 8 years. Don’t worry I had a wedding on the 3rd. It’s been a while since I’ve taken pictures for fun so I thought I would post some shots of the boys at the Wheaton parade. We ended the day at our new lot where we hope to have a house up some time after Christmas. July 4th party at our house next year!
Everyone that saw the bridesmaids commented on how great they were. Most of the girls kept talking about how they couldn’t wait to wear them to the next wedding they would be attending. For those of us that have been to a few weddings it is rare to hear bridemaids raving about the dresses they are wearing…Denise made some personal adjustments of her own, but the dress is designed by Melissa Sweet and was purchased at Priscilla of Boston in Oakbrook Terrace.
